Advance Token Deposit & Rate Settlement Policy
At Vijayadurga Harvesters, there are zero hidden commissions and zero arbitrary middleman markups. Here is the complete breakdown of how the booking advance works and how final harvesting bills are calculated.
1. What is the Booking Token Advance?
The token amount paid online through this portal is an advance scheduling deposit. It serves two specific operational purposes:
- Queue Priority: It locks your harvester dispatch slot in our regional depot schedule, preventing double-booking during peak harvest windows.
- Field Verification Authorization: It authorizes our local district agent to physically visit your field, inspect bund conditions, assess road clearance for the combine trailer, and test soil moisture.
2. Token Calculation & Farmer Customization
When you input your acreage in the booking form, our system calculates a suggested token deposit of ₹100 per acre (minimum ₹100).
Farmers are free to adjust the token amount upward or downward according to their cashflow preference, provided it meets the ₹100 minimum threshold.
3. How the Final Harvesting Rate is Settled on Field
Across India, actual mechanical harvesting charges vary based on ground realities that cannot be assessed through an automated online screen. The final rate per acre is confirmed by the local agent during field inspection based on:
- Crop Lodging: Standing erect crop harvests quickly; lodged (fallen) crops require slower cutter reel speeds.
- Soil Wetness: Dry soil allows wheel combines; deep waterlogged marsh requires slow crawler rubber-track operation.
- Plot Geometry: Large contiguous rectangular 10-acre fields harvest faster than five disconnected 0.5-acre terraces.
- Prevailing Mandi Rates: Regional diesel and seasonal labor rates established at the local APMC yard.
Example Settlement Calculation:
Suppose a farmer books 4.0 acres of Paddy and pays a ₹2,000 advance token online.
During inspection, the agent and farmer agree on a final field cutting rate of ₹2,400 per acre.
Total harvesting bill = 4.0 ac × ₹2,400 = ₹9,600.
Minus Advance Token Paid = - ₹2,000.
Balance paid directly to machine operator on field = ₹7,600 only.
4. Cancellation & Refund Protection
We understand that farming is vulnerable to unpredictable weather, flash rains, and canal water discharges.
- Machinery Non-Availability: If VDH cannot supply suitable machinery on the agreed dates due to mechanical breakdown, 100% of the advance deposit is immediately refunded.
- Adverse Weather / Rain: If rainfall floods the field making cutting impossible, the booking can be rescheduled to the earliest dry window at no extra cost, or refunded upon request.
- Farmer Cancellation: Cancellations made before machine mobilization are refunded minus a nominal ₹100 platform facilitation fee.
Refunds are processed back to the original UPI bank account within 3–5 business days. Read our complete Cancellation & Refund Policy.
